O’BRIEN FAMILY from MILTOWN MALBAY found in BUFFALO, NY USA

O’BRIEN FAMILY from MILTOWN MALBAY found in BUFFALO, NY USA

Recently I identified O’Brien Family members living in Buffalo, NY in the 1900 Census.
What sparked my interest in this O’Brien family is that I was on Ancestry looking at two of my brother's DNA samples and they both had a match to a woman that had a tree on Ancestry with an O'Brien family living in Buffalo, NY in 1900. An O'Brien family that I did not recognize.
I contacted the owner of the Ancestry family tree and she did not know very much about her ancestors but told me there was a connection to another DNA test with roots in Miltown Malbay.
I worked on it all day and found through records here in Buffalo that the mother, Nora O'Brien was Nora Howard of Ballyvaskin South. She was widowed and immigrated to Buffalo in 1893 to live with her young widowed daughter, Mary b 1863 and her sons, Michael b 1870 & Tom O'Brien b 1858. Nora's other children had died and the entire family had immigrated.
I was happy to make this connection and sort out the families. Nora was the wife of James O'Brien. Their son, Michael married another “Miltown Malbayer” in Buffalo, Ellen Keane of Freagh the daughter of James Keane and Ellen Sullivan.
Father James O Brien

I am not sure who the O’Brien children went out to in Buffalo, NY but there were Howard and Bunce cousins already living in Buffalo, NY at their time of arrival.
This is what
Paddy Waldron
would call “Another chain migration from Clare to America”.
If anyone has any idea who James O’Brien’s parents are I would be interested.
